Purpose:

The primary purpose of Kalyanotsavam is to bring both yoga and kshema to the devotee. Yoga refers to acquiring what is lacking, such as children or a home, while kshema means safeguarding what is already possessed, like wealth and health. Participating in Kalyanotsavam helps fulfil both of these wishes.

Significance:

The act of pouring sacred substances over the deity's idol symbolizes the cleansing of impurities and serves as an expression of devotion and gratitude.

The main purpose of abhishekam, when performed with love and devotion, is to earnestly seek God's grace in cleansing the impurities of thought, word, and action, allowing us to become pure and natural in our essence.

Samrakshana (Protection) : Shields from negative energies, curses, and the evil eye.
Mukhti (Liberation) : Assists in freeing oneself from the burdens of past karma.

Devotees are allowed to participate in all Arjitha Sevas (Kalyanotsavam and Abhishekam) from sacred Pooja Vedika/Stage alongside the priest. During Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam, Devotees can represent either Bhagavan Sri Rama or Sita Mata.

Benefits:

Through this seva, devotees can receive the blessings of both Abhishekam and Kalyanam, while also having the honor of representing the families of King Janaka and King Dasaratha throughout the event.

Can non-Telugu individuals or non-ATA members register for Seva and participate?

Yes, worshiping Bhagavan Sri Rama is a sacred and rare opportunity, especially for those residing outside India. ATA warmly welcomes everyone to participate in this divine event and experience the spiritual blessings it offers. Upon successful registration and fee payment, Event Passes will be issued to you. Further details regarding registration, payment, and event passes will be shared soon.

How to register for the Special Seva?

Since only two families are permitted to participate in this Seva, ATA will collect details of interested families or couples from February 11, 2025, to February 15, 2025. The tentative date for selecting two families or couples through a lucky draw is February 16, 2025.

How to register for Kalyanam or Abhishekam?

The details will be shared on or before February 21, 2025.

Do devotees need to bring any Pooja Dravya / Items?

No, ATA will provide all the necessary Pooja Dravya / Items for all Sevas.

Can devotees temporarily leave the Pooja Mandapam during the Seva?

Yes, devotees may temporarily leave the Pooja Hall (Turnsaal 2) if necessary due to unavoidable circumstances.

Are there any activities for kids?

Yes, activities, games, and a bow-and-arrow-making workshop will be available, allowing parents to participate in the Seva without interruption.

Is the event pass transferable?

Yes, the event pass is transferable, provided ATA EC receives a written notification at least two days in advance and confirms the request. The event pass includes the devotee's name, and ATA will reissue the pass with a different name upon request.

Is the event pass cancellable or refundable?

No, event pass is non-cancellable and non-refundable.

Does ATA provide lunch?

No, ATA provides Prasadam for all devotees after the Sevas. Devotees can purchase food from the food stalls available.

Will devotees receive blessed offerings if they leave the venue before the Kalyanam is completed?

No, Prasadam will be distributed after the Kalyanam, and it may not be possible to provide it earlier.

Can a person register for both Abhishekam and Kalyanam?

Yes, an individual may register for both Abhishekam and Kalyanam. However, ATA recommends registering for only one ticket per Seva and does not permit multiple registrations by the same person for the same Seva category.

Can a person register multiple times?

No, ATA reserves the right to cancel duplicate registrations and deny entry without a refund if the same person or family registers multiple times for the same Seva.

Can we attend the event if we arrive late?

It is recommended to arrive on time to participate fully in the ceremony and enjoy the best experience. Late arrivals may disrupt the event for others.

Is there parking available at the venue?

Yes, there are parking facilities available near the venue. However, it is advised to arrive early due to limited parking spaces.

Is there any specific seating arrangement for the event?

Devotees are encouraged to arrive early to secure seats in the front rows, ensuring a better view of the ceremony.

Is spot registration available at the venue?

No, reach us to have updated information on the slot availability, if any. This is to accommodate and check on Prashad availability.

ATA is the sole authority for event registrations and event pass issuance. Any sale or transfer of event passes without prior approval from ATA is strictly prohibited. ATA is not responsible for any transactions made outside its official channels.
Devotees are required to adhere to the rules and instructions set by the event organizers and volunteers. Failure to comply may result in ATA denying your entry without any explanation.
In the event of any safety or security concerns, ATA reserves the right to share devotee information with legal authorities.
